Transferring your domain from Joker

Step 1: Unlock your domain name

1. Begin by logging into your Joker account with your Joker login codes at: http://www.joker.com. In case you can't find the login section, it is in the left sidebar on the bottom.

You will then be logged in.

2. In the left-hand sidebar, click on “Service zone

You will then be taken to a page where you can see your domain options

3. In the “Domain Settings” section, click on “Proceed

You will then be taken to a page where you can change your domain settings

4. In the “Domain - Modification” section, click on “Change

You will now see a page where you can choose the domains in your account.

5. Click on the domain in your list of domains that you want to transfer to Gandi.

You will now see a page that contains all the information of your domain name.

6. Scroll down to towards the bottom of the page, where you will see the “Utilities” section. From there, click on “Switch off domain protection”.

You will now see the “Switch off domain protection” page.

7. Click on the button that says “Unprotect Domain”.

You will see a short confirmation message.

8. Click on the “Back” button

You will then be taken to a page where you can change your domain settings.

Step 2: Recover your authorization code

9. From the page where you can change your domain settings, scroll down once again to the “Utilities” section towards the bottom, and click on the link that says “Initiate an Authorization ID request”.

You will now see a “Initiate an Authorization ID request” page.

10. Click on the button that says “Send Auth-ID”. This will send the authorization code to the e-mail address of your joker account.

You will see a short confirmation message.

11. Click on “Back

12. Log out of your account by clicking on the “Sign out” link at the top of the page.

13. Log into your e-mail account that you use for your Joker account for the domain name.

14. Open the mail from Joker.com Registration Robot with the subject of “Your Authorization Code Request”. Look in the message for the following line:

The Authorization ID is: "43R0G03PG6VB3751"

Copy down the code (43R0G03PG6VB3751 in this example - note that this is a fake code, and will NOT work for your domain. You need to use the code that comes in your own e-mail). This is the code that you will need to provide to Gandi when you request the transfer from our website.

Note! This code is case-sensitive! Be sure when you note it, that you pay close attention to the case of the letters.

Step 3: Launch the transfer at Gandi

Go to http://www.gandi.net and follow our standard transfer process for domain names.

You can follow our tutorial on the procedures to transfer a domain name to Gandi at the following page of our wiki: Domain Transfers
