How to renew your Gandi Basekit / SiteMaker website

Websites and domain names are billed separately, so renewing one will not renew the other. If you received a notification that your domain name will expire but the interface says your website is not in need renewal, you might need to renew the domain name.

To renew your website:

  1. Sign in to the Gandi handle that owns the website.
  2. From your Gandi account, click on the “Websites” link under the “Services” tab
  3. Click on the arrow next to the expiration date of the website to renew
  4. Choose the desired renewal period (1 month or 12 months)
  5. Accept the contract
  6. Click “Submit”
  7. Complete the payment process

Automatically Renew Your Website

Automatic renewals of your website will help ensure that your website will never have an outage because of non-payment. If you set up automatic crediting for your prepaid account, you can use a credit card to fund these automatic renewals. Without automatic crediting, you will need to ensure you have enough funds in your prepaid account for this automatic renewal when the time comes.

To enable automatic renewals of your website:

  1. Sign in to the Gandi handle that owns the website.
  2. From your Gandi account, click on the “Websites” link under the “Services” tab
  3. Click on the icon to the right of the website's expiration date in your list of websites
  4. Confirm the change
  5. When the auto-renewal is active, the icon is green .

To disable automatic renewal of your website, follow the same steps but instead click the icon.
