How do I use the slide show gallery?
The Slideshow gallery can be used to display a series of photos with animated transitions between each slide. This can be a great way of showing photos for a particular event of purpose.
To add the slide show, from the SiteMaker toolbar select 'Insert' –> 'File'. Once the File Manager has opened, go to the library and click on the 'Image tools' folder. In there you will find the 'Slideshow' gallery. Select this with a single click and then click 'Use this'. The blank slideshow should then appear on your page. Click once on the slideshow to drag it in to position.
To add images to the gallery, double click the slideshow to select it. The Editor will now show the edit tools for the slideshow. Click the 'Image' tab and then 'Add images'. This will open up the File Manager again and allow you to choose images from your image folder. You can also use the File Manager to upload files to your site at this point if you have not yet done so. Select an image, then click 'Use this' to add it to the gallery. Repeat this process for each image you want to add. Each time it should appear in the slideshow list as a thumbnail.
To change the order of the images in your slide show, use the 'Organize' button on the 'Image' tab. This will open the image organizer, which allows you to put a caption on each image, delete or change the order of them. Use the drag handle to click and drag the images to change their order.
The 'Advanced' button on the 'Image' tab allows to you change different options to do with the slideshow main image, whether captions are displayed, and how long the time is between images. Use the 'Advanced' and 'More' buttons to reach these options.
The 'Setup' tab allows you to change the appearance of the thumbnail preview panel, as well as add a soundtrack to your slideshow. To add a soundtrack you will need to upload an MP3 file or use one from our library, then select it by clicking the 'Add music' button, then 'Browse' to open the file manager.
Finally the 'Style' tab allows you to change the color settings of the slideshow to match the scheme of your site. Use the 'Advanced' button to reach more style options that can be changed.
