How do I add my images/files to my page?
Click 'Edit my site' to ensure that you are in edit mode and then select 'Insert' –> 'File' from the SiteMaker toolbar. This will open the File Manager on your site. Now select the 'Your Files' tab.
The File Manager has four folders in it, which are 'Images', 'Your Audio', 'Your Video' and 'Download Files'.
Any image that you upload in JPEG, or GIF, or SWF format will be added to the 'Images' folder. These can be added to your page by clicking on the file and using the 'Use this' button. NB. the file may be added to your page behind the file manager, so remember to look!
Any MP3s will be added to the 'Your Audio' folder. These can either be used in our jukebox tools, or as links so that visitors can download them.
All FLVs will be added to the 'Your Video' folder and can be used in the video widget. Other types of video e.g. AVI, WMV, MPG will need to be converted to FLV to be played in your site. If not converted they can still be uploaded to your 'Download Files' folder where they can be linked to for downloading by your visitors.
The 'Download Files' folder will contain any other type of file that you upload. If you select one of these objects and click 'Use this' to add it to the page, it will be added as a download link. This way when visitors click on it, the file will open in a new window for them to download. For audio/video files, this will allow them to play in a new window or using the native player on your PC.
