To create an alt tag for an image on your site, ensure that you are in edit mode and then select the image by clicking on it. In the SiteMaker Editor, click on the 'Style' tab, and then the 'Alt tag' button. You can now enter a full description of your image so that it will be read as a text alternative. Make sure that the 'Display alt text' option above the box has been checked or ticked. Try to give a full description of the image and imagine how you would describe it to someone who couldn't see it. This text will then be picked up by screenreaders as the text alternative to the image.
