Payment problem: Credit card not working
When you try to pay for your order at Gandi, you may receive the following error:
“Your bank card has been rejected. GANDI has been informed.”
If you need to pay, but your credit card is not being accepted this is for the following reasons:
- your bank has refused the payment because it has flagged your payment as being a 'suspicious international online purchase'. This is a frequent problem for American customers.
In this case you just need to contact your bank and reassure them that the order is legitimate and then try again (you will need to cancel the first order attempt from your orders in progress page).
You may be told initially that your card is fine. However we recommend that you ask to speak to someone in their fraud protection department who may know better.
- you encountered the Verified by Visa security page and either do not know what your codes are, or left the page without completing it.
In this case, you need to see with your bank, and they will be able to provide you with your codes. More about this at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-D_Secure
Once you have your codes, you can try the operation again (you will need to cancel the first order attempt from your orders in progress page).
- your bank may have cancelled the payment due to insufficient funds. In this case, you will need to see with your bank.
Once your account has enough funds you can try the operation again (you will need to cancel the first order attempt from your orders in progress page).
PayPal solution
If you are unable to pay by credit card, you can start your order over again, though choose an alternative means of payment, such as PayPal.
If you choose PayPal, you will also be able to pay with your credit card, though since it goes through the PayPal interface, it may go through better in certain instances then if you try to pay directly by the bank's credit card payment system.
