Install a SSL certificate on your Simple Hosting instance

It is possible to install Gandi SSL certificates on your simple hosting instance if:

  • you have a M-size instance or greater
  • possess a certificate and its associated private key
  • have the rights to the domain to be protected
  • the length of your certificate is equal to 2048 bits

To do this, log into your instance management page and on the Websites table click on the little padlock icon:

Once you have done this, you must paste all your SSL Certificate data (not your CSR, but the CRT)

the first line of a certificate generated under Apache starts with
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----
All the lines must be pasted in there, and be sure there is no return at the end of the form.

Then, you need to do the same thing with the private key in the respective field:

If the certificate/private key pair corresponds to the domain to be protected, then you will have finished the process.

The operation only takes a few minutes, and will be ready shortly.

If you have a Wildcard or Multi-domain certificate, you only need to install it once on one of the valid addresses: all the others will be protected automatically.
