The art of selecting a domain name simply involves choosing a name that fits its intended purpose; in other words, it is relevant, descriptive, short, and it is easy to pronounce and remember. However, this is easier said than done, as many common words have already been registered in the most saturated TLDs (such as .com).
1. Begin by selecting a domain name that you like, and enter the domain name in the registration box.
After you click “Go” you will see a page of results telling you whether or not your desired term is available, as well as a list of suggested alternatives below it. The alternative top-level domains (TLDs) can be filtered using the filter options to the right. These suggestions are based on your location, language, and (if logged in), your handle type.
Note that you can select multiple variations if you need your domain in more than one TLD.
2. Chose the available domain that you want in the list that presents available domains, by checking the appropriate box to the left of the domain, and select the number of years that you want to register them for.
3. Click on “Submit” on the bottom of the page to continue.
